1. Introduction
grovv ("we", "our", "us") is a content-saving application available as a mobile app and browser extension. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
- Account information: email address, and name if provided via Google or Apple sign-in
- Saved content: URLs, titles, tags, ratings, and notes you save to your library
- Authentication tokens: stored locally in the browser extension to keep you signed in
3. How We Collect It
- Directly from you when you create an account or save content
- Via Google OAuth or Apple Sign-In if you choose those login methods
- Via the browser extension, which accesses only the active tab when you click the extension button — we do not read your browsing history
4. Browser Extension Permissions
Our Chrome extension requests the following permissions:
activeTab: to read the URL and title of the current tab when you click Savescripting: to extract page metadata (title, URL) from the active tab on user action onlystorage: to cache your authentication token locallyidentity: to support OAuth login flowsalarms: to schedule background token refresh
We do not collect browsing history. We do not access tabs you have not explicitly triggered the extension on.
5. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and sync your content library across devices
- To authenticate you securely
- We do not sell your data
- We do not share your data with third parties beyond our infrastructure provider (Supabase, used for database and authentication)
6. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely via Supabase (supabase.com). Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser.
7. Your Rights
- You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app
- You may contact us at uljana@hey.com to request data export or deletion
8. Children's Privacy
grovv is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The effective date above will reflect the latest version.
